Eitan Hoffer, Israeli professional lutenist and violin player, reviews the LLD® 8c Renaissance and 13c Baroque lutes

"On my visit to Paris I had the pleasure to meet Miguel and see two Le Luth Doré® lutes: a 13 course baroque lute and an 8 course renaissance lute.

As I play only the renaissance lute myself [for now] I could only hear the baroque lute in Miguel's hands: it sounds beautiful, warm and full sound across the whole range from the top to the bases.

I have played the 8 course renaissance lute and was very impressed with it: well set up [we talked about offering different nut spacings for bigger or smaller hands], easy to play, the sound is full bodied and warm, and well balanced through all the courses.

It is a professional-functioning instrument worthy of being used by conservatory students, as a professional second instrument for concerts, and of course any beginner will have pleasure to play on an instrument that functions so well and does not impose any hurdles on playing.

Bravo to Miguel and the team, and I hope these instruments will make it possible for many players to enjoy the world of fantastic lute music!"
