Miguel Rincón, lutenist

Miguel Rincón studied at the High School Music Manuel Castillo with Juan Carlos Rivera into the plucked instruments speciality, where he got the best grades ending with Honor Qualification. Later, he completed a master's degree with Xavier Díaz Latorre at Esmuc [The High School Music of Barcelona] and another master’s degree at Zürich in Hochschule Kunste der Musik [Master in concert performance as soloist] receiving lessons with Eduardo Egüez.

He has been present in numerous courses, receiving master classes from the very best lute players around the world, such as Rolf Lislevand, Robert Barto, Paul O ́dette, Hopkinson Smith... as well as chamber music instructions with Vittorio Ghielmi, Paolo Pandolfo, Gabriel Garrido, etc.

He has worked next to relevant musicians into the early music international scene such as Cecilia Bartoli, Philippe Jaroussky, Nathalie Stutzmann, Franco Fagioli, Maria Grazia Schiavo, Placido Domingo, Furio Zanasi, Nuria Rial, Patricia Petibon, Vivica Genaux, Mariana Flores, Emöke Barath, Francesco Corti, Francesca Aspromonte, Giuseppina Birindelli, Alfredo Bernardini, Carlos Mena, Marta Almajano, María Espada, Enrico Onofri, Pierre Cao, Diego Fasolis, Pedro Esteban, Stephano Barneschi, Adriana Fernández, Antonio Florio, Manfredo Kraemer, Gabriel Garrido, Enrico Casazza, Leonardo García Alarcón, Anne Hallenberg, Mira Glodeanu, etc.

He ́s required to play at numerous festivals and theatres all around the world. He performed at Victoria Hall [Genève, Switzerland], Wigmore Hall [London], Château de Versailles & Salle Cortot [Paris], Le théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Konzertgebow [Amsterdam], Tonhalle [Zürich], the Mozart Festival from Galicia [Spain], Estella early music week [Pais Vasco], Early music week from Barcelona [Auditorium], Kassel Theater, Freiburg Theater, Frankfurt Theater, Aranjuez, Utrecht Festival, Festival de Chiquitos [Bolivia], Froville le Romain [Francia], Luxemburgo theater, Mozarteum Argentino, Tetaro Solis [Uruguay], Thetaro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro, Sala São Paulo, National auditory [Madrid], Chopin high school music [Varsovia], Casa de España [Panamá], Milán,Toulouse, Lyon, Venecia, Roma, Buenos Aires, Frankfurt Theater, Dresden, Minnesota, Washington, Montpellier, etc.

His recordings includes ensembles such as Academia del Piacere [Fahmi Alqhai-Label Glossa & Harmonia Mundi], Seville Baroque Orchestra [Pierre Cao, Enrico Onofri…], I Barrochisti [Diego Fasolis-Label Decca] and Orfeo 55 [Nathalie Stutzmann-Label Warner Erato]. As a soloist, he had two recordings, one on the Baroque lute dedicated to Johann Sebastian Bach [Carpe Diem Records] and one on Renaissance lute with works by Spinacino, Schlick, Attaignant & Jan Ambrosio Dalza [Lindoro records].
