Testimonial from Mauricio Buraglia (France) about LLD® lutes

Le Luth Doré
Mauricio Buraglia, Colombian professional lutenist — Paris, France

The 13-course Baroque lute LLD® that I tried has excellent balance, a wide range of colors, and excellent homogeneity when moving from one string to another, both for melody and for chords. Without needing to force anywhere on the neck, the sound remains clear across all registers.

Its quality is remarkable and, to the touch, the instrument responds with notable warmth. This is what I call a true Baroque lute sound: well-focused, without noise or unwanted resonances. The bass courses are rich and their fundamental predominates.

It is already, without any doubt, a very fine concert instrument. Honestly, I myself do not own a Renaissance lute as good as this one…

As for the 8-course Renaissance lute LLD® that I also had the opportunity to try, the sound is very lively and extremely responsive. The instrument is perfectly set up and plays in tune along the entire length of the fingerboard. The tone is powerful and bright. At this price, it is truly an exceptional instrument! It is already, without any doubt, a very fine concert instrument.

Honestly, I do not own a Renaissance lute of such quality. The two lutes I tried are made from excellent-quality woods and show finishes that are equally remarkable.
