In addition to his activities as a performer, Paul O'Dette is an avid researcher, having worked extensively on the performance and sources of seventeenth-century Italian and English solo song, continuo practices and lute technique.

He recently completed his doctorate in Early Music Performance at the Eastman School of Music, where his advisor was the renowned lutenist, Paul O'Dette. Wilke performs widely, having given solo recitals in Italy and Germany as well as throughout the United States. On several occasions, he lectured at the Guitar Foundation of America's Convention and the American Musicological Association's Annual Meeting.

Basically self taught on the lute, he has [for over 30 years] developed a unique musical life which embraces activities as a teacher, accompanist, soloist, director and writer. Nigel North was initially inspired into music, at age 7, by the early 60's instrumental pop group "The Shadows". Nigel studied classical music through the violin and guitar, eventually discovering his real path in life, the lute, when he was 15.

In 2009 Helena completed her Post-Graduate Diploma in Performance Studies Master Degree, in Historical Performance Practice at the Early Music Faculty at Trinity College of Music, London.

John Griffiths is particularly known as one of the leading researchers of vihuela music of our time. He has performed widely in Australia, Europe, the USA and South America, both as a soloist and ensemble player, especially with La Romanesca which he co-founded in 1978.

Always fascinated by singer-instrumentalists from Antiquity to modern times, Ricardo Leitão Pedro is one of the few performers today to revive the early practice of cantor al liuto, accompanying himself on different plucked string instruments.
